Eacles imperialis

Canon 1D MkIV
100-400 v.2 + 1.4x t.c II (@152mm)
f/16, 1/100 sec
Eval +/-0
iso 800

Saw this guy, grabbed my camera and tripod from the house, didn't even realize my t.c. was mounted on it  .

I have frame filling landscape orientation shots, great for a field guide or something, but struggled on a pleasing comp; still, a neat bug (imho.)

Comments, constructive criticism, and re-posts always welcome.

It's a beautiful bug and an excellent capture.

Hi

Very good comp imo - I like the use of the open perch space if that makes sense lol

Great shot

All the best
Matthew
