Found this lovely specimen today.
Not sure if it has hybridised with Ophrys apifera, which was adjacent.
Merged composite image from 4K video stack.

I know they are supposed to be 'spiders' but to me they are little people!

I feel the same way, Carol - they really are little individuals.

Interestingly, in german speaking regions, the are referred to as "Bumblebee-Ophrys".
