Minute orchid - at least in our area - making it difficult to spot in the long grass. Loved the red colours of the fresh bloom.

Image made with Nikon D500, Sigma 150mm Macro with 1.4x converter.

Really enjoying your orchids!  What a lovely shot of this little beauty and I love the combination of the soft green and the gorgeous deep red.

Thanks Carol!

It was the deep red which caught our eye - difficult to spot in the high grass.

Takke care, S ;)

Pretty deep reds and a fine simple composition.

Hi

Very nice - you have captured and show good detail in that dark and often difficult to portray bloom, great stuff

All the best
Matthew

Thanks Matthew - as you said - not the easiest of species - happy with the result.
