Pycanum rubens is a giant shield bug (3 cm in length & 1.5 cm in width) that is relatively common in Singapore. It is a tame bug that usually does not fly off with slight disturbance of its surrounding. The nymphs undergo several stages of transformation that display different colours from red to orange to green before reaching the adult stage. Here is two red nymphs under the protection of their mother. I welcome your C & C for improvements.
Exif : Canon 7D, T180, f16, 1/25s, ISO 640, fill flash. Last edited by sayhitoant on Fri Apr 21, 2017 9:47 pm, edited 1 time in total. |
