Eastern Blue Groper  Achoerodus viridis

Blue gropers regularly follow divers hoping for a handout, like big blue puppy dogs, they seem to enjoy photo bombing, swimming into a shot you have lined up.  They are found on many rocky reef sites along the coast.  From the dive with the sharks at Shellharbour last weekend.

One heck of a nice portrait. Well framed by the background.

No not at all, they are totally non threatening, just swimming around you and occasionally diving into frame of a shot you are lining up.

thanks all for the comments
