Without a doubt of the most beautiful orchids present in Europe - and always a pleasure to see.

Nikon D800, Sigma 150mm Macro, stack with Helicon Focus.

Thanks for stopping by, S :)

Awesome flowers, we have our own "ladyslipper" in Costa Rica "Phragmipedium grandiflorum" but ours doesn't have such a great colors on its labellum. Thanks for sharing!!!

Pretty grouping of orchids, there's a similar species in NA. Love the stacked detail.

Thanks Tom - I'm aware of the NA cousin - especially the red variant - from the excellent photos by Nadine Blacklock - who inspired our orchid odessy.

When Jeff's girls have finished dancing in his image, I am sure these slippers will be very welcome for tired feet.  :)

Such a lovely uplifting colour and wonderful shape these are.  Beautiful!

I saw what you said about the awful weather you are having.  Its the same here and so many lovely flowers are being ruined by the heavy rains and winds.  Where did the summer go......
