Another image made with Nikon D500 and the diminutive Nikkor AFS 300mm PF.

More negative space added as suggested - my 1st try with the new content aware crop tool in PS  ;)

Very dramatic contrast of colors with the rose, the other 2 elements I personally find them a bit distractive, perhaps if they were more in focus or more blurred? Thanks so much for sharing. Kind regards from Costa Rica!

Click on the image to see it at its best.  I like the way the two unopened buds appear to be bowing their heads to the beauty of the glowing ruby red poppy!   A lovely study in colour, curves and selective focus.

I like combination of shapes - very cool. Pretty colors and interesting light as well.

Thanks for the kind comments folks.

Jeff - I would have liked more focus.....should have been more judicious in my chimping!

Hi

I very much like the play of image elements - but for my tastes to really make this one shine these elements really need more negative space around them. So yep I like this, I think you have a good eye to spot such a fun interaction

All the best
Matthew

Thanks for the feedback Matthew - I agree - it could do with more space - I should have moved a bit back - have revised using the new content aware cropping tool in PS.

Best, Sinuhe
