I had hoped to post a full image of the damselfly showing the intricate veining on the wings & more of the metallic colour on the body but downsizing to the 800px lost quite a bit of the sharpness and detail. So posted instead a tighter crop around head / thorax to try to retain some of the detail. The damselfly’s head is no more than 3 to 4mm across and just above it’s right eye is the shell/body casing of a micro-midge {didn’t notice with the naked eye when taking the image}.
To see the full size image please click here Regarding downsizing any tips how best to retain sharpness/detail would be appreciated. |
