Red-eyed Tree Frog
Agalychnis callidryas
Caribbean Lowlands, Costa Rica
Canon 7DM2 | Canon 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 IS ii with 12mm Kenko Extension Tube | f/5.0 | ISO 640 | Speedlite with Softbox

Here's a favourite from a recent trip to Costa Rica. These iconic amphibians are truly stunning! By using some back/side lighting, I tried to emphasize the incredible eyes of this species.

Thanks for taking a look!

Fine night image of a great frog - the lighting picked up the colors nicely.

I think nature has already done an amazing job of emphasizing the incredible eyes of this species    but there's no doubt that your perspective and dramatic lighting has created a stunning image Jess!
