I am considering buying an Epson 3880 printer, but I want to print on canvas. In the past I remember several people had problems feeding it into this printer. Is this still a problem? Any comments would be appreciated. Thank you. Clark.

As long as you make sure you fix a paper leader to the canvas it works fine.

Be careful to use tape that is very WELL ADHERED to the canvas. If it comes off in the feeding process, it may be difficult to remove from the printer.

Occasionally, I find a heavy weight canvas that will feed in the 3880 without the leader.

Please take the effort to search for my 'canvas' response posts on this site and dpreview.
I do not use a 'leader', I preload the canvas with the 'Paper Load' command after setting the proper parameters.
I will shortly prepare a DIY 'script' that I can post each time his topic is repeated.

Had to use a taped on leader with Lyve canvas, but found that it feeds OK without a leader through the rear slot with Epson Exhibition Canvas . Seems the the heavier weight of the Epson paper works better.

Don, what paper thickness setting did you set for the Epson Exhibition Canvas?
Happy Shooting,
