My family gives me good images from cell phones and iPads to process, edit and print. I believe all are 72 dpi/ppi and some have large dimensions in inches across each side. After minor processing, and cropping usually for 4 x 6 in prints, what "edit save as" parameters do you suggest I enter in my processor? Change dpi/ppi from 72 to 250-300 or some other number? Leave it at 72? Limit size to 4 x 6 inches? Prints could be done on my Epson R2400 or sent to Walgreens or similar outlet. I use Nikon Capture NX2 to process the JPEGS. Joe Smith

If they are large files, simply change the PPI to 360 and see what size that leaves you with. If it's bigger than 4x6 you can down rez to get it to 4x6. If it's smaller than 4x6 when changed to 360ppi, then uprez to get to 360 ppi. You could do this all in one step if you want but it would be nice to know at least the first time if you are up or down rezzing.
