I am always trying to figure out how to get the most mileage from my Epson 3880 and its 17" width constriction. Up to now I have been having larger canvas prints done by a fine art printing specialist near me.

I have just tried breaking up a landscape pano into 5 - 12" sections so that I can print a 60" size. I am using Stick & Stretch Pro stretchers as I don't have the strength in my hands to stretch using regular stretcher bars. Stick & Stretch is sold in Canada by Amplis Photo wholesale. It is made by the same Canadian company that makes Easy Wrappe and the Hanameule stretchers.

At 12" I have enough for a 2.5" mirror edge so that the canvas can be stapled instead of glued.

The first one I did had 5 - 12 x 20 sections and the one I'm now working on has 5 - 12 x 28 sections.

In the long run I may buy a used 44" Epson printer. I like to have control of when I can do prints and when they are ready. Maybe I AM a control freak!!! :?
