I basically know nothing. Looking for good resources to learn basics to more advanced topics. Any thoughts?

Good links posted by David. It might help to know what printer you are using, as print dialogs vary by printer brand and model. A good, color managed work flow is, in my opinion, also essential to getting consistent results.

Also there is this PDF article from Eric Chan right here on NSN. The particular details are out of date, but it's a good overview if you have no idea what you're getting into.

Beyond that, I personally really liked the Luminous-Landscape From Camera to Print series.
