The supplier I've used for custom mats--both inside and outside window dimensions--has ceased offering this service.  Does anyone know of a good supplier for custom cut mats?

I took a look a the American Frame website and, as best I can tell, while they'll cut a mat with a custom OUTSIDE dimension, the INSIDE cut--the "window" in the mat--is pre-determined. Am I missing something? I ask because that won't work for me.

No, I've always been able to totally customize inside, outside and even where on the matte it is cut.  they have a tool that allows you to customize it anyway you want.

Go into their mat boards, click on one you like and a tool pops up that lets you customize it as you wish.

Direct link to just one example:

Got it, thanks. I was thrown by the way they do it--specifying border size rather than window size. One is the inverse of the other so It amounts to the same thing.

Yeah it's a bit odd the first time you do it but after that it becomes second nature.  I have been using them for at least 15 years, never had a problem.

I have used a few suppliers over the years including American Frame, but I always go back to Redimat when in need. It's the only place I get them from now.
