I was in Phoenix for the weekend and went out shooting monsoom storms.
Should have seen if EJ would have wanted to go out shooting?

Shot a roll of Velvia 100F to see how it would work out.

There scans are not the greatest.. Just did them quickly last night.

Tech:
F5
80-200mm
Moose Warming Polarizer
Velvia 100F

Enjoy

Beautiful shot, Eric. I especially like the bit of golden light on the clouds. The 2 large cacti are majestic.
Shoot in RAW because memory is cheap, but memories are priceless.

Thanks Mark,

I tried for lightning, but they did not come out. I think because I had the lens stopped downw too much for the lightning to register. I know ther was one flash that occured while the shuter was open, but it did not register...

Nice shot.

Might be better to sharpen the FG a bit more?

I was in Wyoming :)

This is nice although I would like to see the base of the Saguaro.

Dan, I think weather will not be an issue. The afternoons should have some nice puffy cumulous clouds. I suggest Saguaro NP West Unit and Gates Pass for sunrise/sunset.

I think the clouds are yummy. Would like to see more of the greenstuff and definition and sharpness in the bottom third. That was my initial impression and I'm no landscape shooter so I could change my mind.

Nice!

I like the cloud and the great light. Would really want to see a bit more of the foreground though.

I saw this same cloud formation (I live in Mesa) but couldn't get out to photograph it. Good job!
