Pentax 645/Velvia/2stp GND

I would like to introduce myself to this NSN forum with one of my favorites from earlier in this year. The photo was taken near Guanella Pass in Colorado. I'll look forward to posting more as well as I can chew through the leash and get out. Thanks for the site and any suggestions or comments!

Excellent first post, Roger! The color of the clouds are to die for! And that water is just so perfectly calm...looks like a mirror...Wow!
Shoot in RAW because memory is cheap, but memories are priceless.

The reflections in the water make this for me and the colors are good, too. That would be tough to live in Colorado and not be able to get out (although I guess I could say that about anyone's back yard if it is a natural environment.) 8)

Welcome to NSN. I love those reflections too and also the grass in the water at the right.

Roger,
This is great. I have been looking for a place to shoot something like this myself. It is one of my photo goals.
Very nice picture, thanks for sharing with us.

Reflections, colors of the clouds, grass in the water, light at the tip of the mountains are all great. Wonderful post. Only suggestion would be to slightly burn in the far right sky so it doesn't pull my eye to the edge of the frame.

Thanks for all of the positive comments! This is one that I'm happy with and as they say, "you only have one chance to make a good first impression." I hope future posts will come close to this.

Ken, I have only been using my Pentax for a few months. The only lens I have right now is the 45-85mm zoom, manual focus. I hope to add either a 150 or 200mm plus a teleconverter as my bank account allows. Any recommendations for a longer lens?
