One of the best things about this new forum is that I can recycle all my old posts!

This was taken at White Sands NM in 2001 (?) with some plastic substance that I think poeple call film ;)

I love the image. The "parts" are outstanding. The lower part of just the dunes could stand alone by themselves with a crop right through the mountains.

The lines in the dunes are enticing---I actually think a crop down would enhance the whole image giving more emphasis to the dunes but with a narrower band of lemon on top. 8)

I really like the tones, lines, and colors you captured here. I'm going to NM this winter, White Sands is on the list. Did you need an alarm clock & GD filter for this?

Film? Boy, must be last century! ;)

Really like it as is, but with Juli's crop suggestion the hint of color in the dunes becomes much more apparent.

I missed this the first time. It's beautiful.

The black and white guys are bringing back Platinum and Albumen prints so retro is in. Let's hear it for film.

Greg,

Images like this inspire me to be a better photographer!!! As others have said, the lines and tones make this an amazing image.

Best of luck with this new venture.

Chris

Greg, Really nice! The contrasts between the colors and textures of all the layers are very cool! I might clone out the white line in the upper left.

I'll admit I'm recycling some posts, too. This one's a beaut, I know it's been on your web site but I don't tire of looking at it. The lemon sky is so cool, too.

White Sands is definitely a great place to go with unique features to photograph, for anyone considering it.

Can't recall seeing this one before, but I'm glad it's been posted here. Great lines and I tend to agree that taking a fraction off the top would enhance it even more.

love those smooth curves down below and the hints of light/color on them!

I'd agree with a very light top-crop to get rid of the brightish cloud/contrail line. I'd probably cut a tad off the right side to eliminate the up-slope of the start of the next hill/mtn...just one of those little nits of mine.
