This shot was taken near Emu Bay on Kangaroo Island, South Australia. After an afternoon of shooting some birds, I was on the way back home to the motel and came across this interesting place just as the sun was setting. Despite my best efforts to sink into the thick black mud underneath the salt, I ended up with this (which looks nicer as a bigger print).
EOS5, 28-135 @ ~28mm, f/16, Provia 100F, digital ND grad filter (combination of two exposures, several stops apart), polariser. Andrew McFadyen | NSN0043
