Well, you go to Europe for 6 weeks and come back and there's a whole new web site!

This is a little coastal scene taken in the evening as a thunder storm is setting up. I like the motion of the foregound water and the drama of the sky. The middle ground is probably just ok though.

cheers,
Eric

I agree, the foreground really makes this image pop...I almost backed away from my keyboard when this image first uploaded...I thought I was gonna get wet :-)
Shoot in RAW because memory is cheap, but memories are priceless.

Stunning! I don't know anything about landscapes so I can only say what comes to mind first. It creates a lot of emotion and feeling in the gut.

Hi Eric,

It's good to see you here. I agree that the foreground water really makes this. I don't think I like it as much as the one on NPN. Post that one here sometime.

Eric,

Welcome to NSN! I really think this shot is super. That sun just popping over the hill really makes it come together for me.

I agree with the comments about the wonderful foreground. It has a nice movement to it.

Hi Eric,

It's great to see you posting again. I agree with everyone that the foreground is wonderful. I'd be tempted to crop a bit from the sky just to give that receding water the prominence it deserves. The soft colors really set a nice mood.
