Nice shot, Steve! Love the setting sun and the fore ground rocks...nice perspective. You may want to fix the link. I had to cut and past the http://www.... portion to see the shot.
Shoot in RAW because memory is cheap, but memories are priceless.

Nice color. I like that wide angle effect that pulls you in.

I don't know why this image is not displaying correctly. It looks to me like you've entered the url correctly.

Steve, when you posted it you checked the disable UBB box. I fixed it and cleaned up the thread.

Steve,

This is beautiful! The reason your image wasn't showing up is because you had the option "Disable BBCode in this post" checked. It seemed to be set that way by default in your profile. We just fixed it for you....

Steve this is a very nice shot - I love the colors and the dramatic sunset! I do wish the upper right didn't go black.

A beautiful location and good use of the wide angle. A couple of nits: the colour is interesting but looks a bit too neon to be 'real' to me. I also think the right side of the frame is a bit empty which makes the composition feel a little unbalanced for me.

cheers,
Eric

Hi Steve---the water appears as perfectly exposed midnight snow on my monitor and that gives a pleasantly surreal look to the image. I would chuck the frame on this as I find my attention being drawn to that.

Neat, I like how the line of rocks lead me into the frame towards the sun.

Heather,
I worked around to get the rocks leading from the corner into the frame. You are the first who commented on it. A really neat place and the sun cooperated. I have had a few other sunset photos where I have gotten the sun so near the horizon that the circular effect shows. One with a 180 degree plus panoramic in Los Angeles from the griffith Park Observatory.

Steve, I had not seen this shot before -- I like it a lot! Love the sun on the horizon and the leading line of the rocks, and the slow exposure/ blurred water and... y'know, it DOES resemble snow...

:)
