Moraine Lake - Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada

Some of you are familiar with this photo but many are not so I thought I would post one of my favorite photos from my Canadian Rockies excursions here on NSN. This was taken late May of this year right after the road to Moraine Lake opened early in the morning (and it was cold  )

Wow!!! I'd think I'd remember this if I had seen it before. This is beautiful.

Gorgeous. One of the best renditions of this scene that I have seen.

Another great shot. The partial reflection in the unfrozen area is a real eye-grabber. I should simply set up a "great shot" macro...Ctl-M, perhaps. It would save time when I visit this gallery. :D

Superb image E.J. You can 'feel' the crispness in the air and the the golden morning light bathing the peaks is the icing on the cake.

Gorgeous!!

Wonderful, from the partial reflection in the lake to the clouds hugging the top of the mountain.

Really good ! The partial reflection of the sunlit mountains in the thawing river makes this stand out for me

E.J. - This is a truly awesome photograph. I've seen quite a few photos from this location - many very well done but this one is the best I've seen IMO. I really wish I'd taken this one!

cheers,
Eric

E.J., I remember seeing this "piece of eye candy" before, and still love it. That "S curve" with the reflection of mountains and clouds is wonderful.

Pretty awe-inspiring, E.J. The sharpness and surprising reflection makes this for me.
