I recently was able to scan this with an Imacon scanner. It gave me a lot more to work with than the flatbed scan.

Beautiful colors and light. I think I would prefer either more texture in the foreground or less of the foreground. At a full 8x10 size, I bet there is plenty of texture in the foreground though and the small size here is keeping it from being seen.

Nice shot, Dan...a bit too much foreground from my taste, however.
Shoot in RAW because memory is cheap, but memories are priceless.

Dan,
Very nice. I actualy like the foreground space for some reason. I scroled the screen to crop it out & it dosn't feel as balanced.
Like it as is.

I don't get to see it every day. I have to drive about an hour to get to Point Reyes where I shoot most of my seascapes.

But yes, I'm very lucky to live out here.

If you do make it out here, let me know. We can go shooting together

I like it. Simple composition with the rocks evenly laid out accross the frame, and of course the beautiful sunset hues.

I like the simplicity of this one, but would like to see less of the FG, at least in this jpeg version.

Gotta love the sea - I go nuts when I'm far away from the beach and an unobstructed view of the ocean horizon. I see straight towards the North Pole from my living room window :)

Me likes, Dan. I saw this print in person at your home last week, and the web version doesn't do it justice. The detail captured by your 4x5 really pays off with the sand textures in the foreground. Well done. Definitely one of my favorites of yours.

Dan,

Nicely done and if you crop off half the bottom it makes it a bit better for this size display.

I'd have known this is yours anywhere...the soft light and color is lovely. Can't beat that 4x5 - except with an 8x10!! :D
