Ken, very nice photo. One very minor nit, the slight merger of the tips of the branches with the reflected trees. Still very nice imo!!

Can't wait to get to the UP in October for some serious fallscape photography :) Thanks for the warmup. A very nice photo. My only wish is for no merge between the branches in the water and the shoreline on the left.

Yup, that is my nit too. Tripod was as high as it could go. Couldn't move to the left because Danny and his dad were there.... :D

I didn't do any better! Of course, I can't position my tripod as high as you unless I get a periscope :) Also, the tree had moved since the previous year, when it was perfectly positioned. We didn't get very good sunrise color last year either, sad to say.

Shoot in RAW because memory is cheap, but memories are priceless.

Ken,

The foreground branches really add interest and it what I like about the image. Otherwise I dont think I would have commented on it.

Ken, I have virtually this identical shot (viewable at: http://www.crescentmooncreative.com/ima ... ry&image=3). I was something like four people to your left (I think Danny and his father and Meg were all to my right).
