Merced River, Yosemite Valley, Oct, 2002. Minolta 35mm camera, 14mm lens, Velvia scanned on a Minolta Multi-Pro. One of my last outings with film. This is one of those that you want to go back and do again with digital capture (if that's your current preference, that is). Comments welcome.

A beautiful area and a nice shot. I think reducing some of the blue cast in the shadowed areas would make it even better.

Nice shot. I think I would crop some of the sky and lose a bit of the blue cast.

Hey Jeffrey,

I like the idea here a lot. It looks like you used a polariser, and I'm thinking a 1-stop GND would've worked better -- the sky wouldn't get that weird look to it.

I agree with a crop from the top .. not because the sky is uninteresting (it isn't, IMO), it's just that the image looks long and skinny to me .. uncomfortably so. Cropping a bit above the peaks really does strengthen this one, IMO.

I love the perspective here .. really draws me into the image.

Cheers

Carl

Nice shot of a wonderful place. I agree with the sky crop. Might want to include even more of the foreground instead.
