This is not a great photograph, but I offer it for those who have never experience Fall colors in the Pacific Northwest. The red color is courtesy of the wild blueberry and huckleberry plants that cover the ground.

Great scene and colors. I like the composition. I don't know what focal length you used but it may have been impossible to get adequate DOF even with a tripod and stopping down. Better time of day and maybe less wind on the lake might put this one over the top.
