Motif Evening Clouds Textures

Taken on a recent trip to the Province of Quebec. View of the early evening clouds with the moon over the St Lawrence River in the Charlevoix Region. Canon D60, EF 28-70mm f2.8L, ISO 200, f22, 1/45 sec. Tripod Mounted.

Great light. I like how it goes from dark blue water and land, through the peach colored clouds, to the lighter blue sky. Wonderful gradation of colors, punctuated by the moon.

I like how the light highlights the interesting clouds while the water and land is still visible but not so prominent. The inclusion of the moon is really neat.

Thanks to everyone who has commented on this image. The light in this area of Quebec was awesome, particularly at sunrise and sunset. The funny thing is that I did very few true sunrises and sets because the light as it reflected off of the clouds was so much more beautiful. The moon above the clouds was a definite bonus in this one. :)
