Welcome to NatureScapes.

I Like to see this from a wider perspective with some interesting foreground leading up to this red rock. Also I think you'ld have more interesting color if you shot this at sunrise or sunset.

Is Glendale near Sedona. I wish I lived near to Sedona.

It depicts Courthouse Butte very well but agree with Dan's comments and would like to see this taken about 20 minutes after sunrise from this vantagepoint.

Dan, Glendale is in the Western part of the Valley of the Sun, a suburb of Phoenix and the new home of the Phoenix Coyotes NHL club and future home of the Arizona Cardinals NFL club. It's pretty much in the opposite corner of the valley from where I am in Chandler. Its about 1.5 hours from where this photo was taken by car.

I love how you've composed this and the puffy clouds are a great bonus. Never having visited here myself, I am enjoying the colorful view you have provided. :)

Wonderful sky, and I like the tree to the right to balance the rock. I agree with Dan on the foreground. Also would prefer a bit more off-center placement of the rock, but certainly not bad as is!

A very majestic shot, C. D. Sure the lighting could be better, but sometimes we only have so much time, and under such conditions, I think you did a wonderful job. I love a mid-day scene with white, puffy clouds floating in a sea of deep blue sky.
Shoot in RAW because memory is cheap, but memories are priceless.
