Nice light and comp. I can see a hint of shadow detail in the trees too.

Looks like a beautiful scene and the light is gorgeous. my preference would be to take this with a 2 stop GND to retain more detail in the shadowed trees.

there is subtle detail in the trees in the original scan and print - it's just lost in the jpeg and on the screen

The light and composition are nice but the dark mass of trees is very hard to take. I hope that the print looks better.
