I couldn't join the mid-west get-together last week because my schedule was completely spoiled by a last-minute business trip to Europe.

But I could make it to the UP for just 3 days last weekend.
I spent it in the Porkies and as the colors where already past-peak I concentrated in Presque Isle River.

I spent 3 hours at this nice spot completely caught by those awesome reflections.

EOS10D, 2.8/70-200, 0.8" @f/32, gray filter to darken 1 stop, ISO 100.
Converted in sRGB, no levels, USM.

Hope other get-together will take place in the future

This is very nice. We got some nice water/reflection conditions in the Bond Falls area on Monday of last week.

I love this one! The liquid gold water is stunning and I love the way the texture of the water changes as it flows over the falls. Just beautiful.

Excellent.

Robert Frost said, "Gold is the hardest color to hold". You did a great job of holding the "gold."

Yes, now I recognize it even more. I've explored the area a few times.
