The bizarre looking Crescent Nebula on the left is 5000 light years away and it created by imploding, exploding stars.
The faint Soap bubble right center was actually just discovered in 2007 by an amateur astrophotographer with a 160mm refractor and later verified by the International Astronomical Union. Askar 600mm f5.6 scope asi533 camera. 20 hours of imaging in my backyard Portland Oregon. Click to view at larger size. |
