The snowcapped Three Sisters of Canmore in Alberta, Canada receive their first kiss of morning sun while the spring meltwater cascades along the rocky creek below.

This is a vertorama consisting of three focus stacked horizontal images stitched on top of one another, with the mountains zoomed in slightly for perspective blending to render them as I saw them in person. The result is a razor sharp file of almost 11,000 pixels tall.

Why not just shoot it vertically with a wide angle? My goal is to print BIG with razor sharp detail, so these techniques result in a far superior print file that looks the same as I saw it with my own eyes.

Nikon Z7II, Nikkor 24-70 2.8S foreground @33mm, ISO 31, f6.3, 1/4 second; mountains @52mm.

You have really done these ladies proud, Dean! A stunningly beautiful image, as always, with the magical use of the available light to add the icing to your wonderful view.

Incredible details everywhere in this wonderful picture. I also love the water movement games on the rocks.

So pretty...and superb light kissing those three sisters!
Although I l love this....my first thought was that it was almost a little too busy with all those cascades, then the mtns and the light.
never mind...I will just sit back and enjoy the view here!

Thanks John! I had a similar feeling with all of the rocks and stones. I did some selective dodging and burning to draw more attention to the water which helped a lot, but I wish there would have been some moss or something to simplify the foreground a bit!

Thank you for the thoughtful comments!
