Sometimes you just can’t get a good crop of an interesting subject because there is just too much content that detracts from the subject. So, resorting to a panoramic presentation. This was the case with this shot from Mesquite Dunes in Death Valley, CA. Showing the long line of dunes in one shot also showed too much dark foreground sand and background mountains. This shot was very early in the morning just as the Sun peeked over the surrounding mountains.
