I would normally crop this from the top, as I know the 50-50 divide might not work for some of you. Have I made the right decision in not succumbing?

Very nice image. I feel that, when capturing a reflection, an even split works well. For my opinion of whether it is the norm, read my signature line. I don’t believe in fitting in a box.

I like the reflected foreground, it adds a lot of visual interest. Nice work!

I like the reflection more than than the top half so I might take some off (maybe a lot, like a pano crop).

This works for me- I like seeing the trees that are reflected and the contrast , top to bottom. Anyway, it's not exactly half and half! ;)

One thing I failed to mention above is that it really shines when clicked on. The sharpness really makes it snap. It becomes a real wallhanger then.
