Taken a few nights ago with a Hutech modded Canon 60D, light pollution filter, ISO 1600, shutter speed 15 sec, on a Sigma 105mm F1.4 at 1.4(boy, do I like that speed for Astro!). Skywatcher Star Adventurer for tracking.
549 lights, 50 bias, 50 flats and 50 darks were used.  Stacked in a trial version of Astropixel processor, the stars were removed for clarity of the nebula using Starnet in Pixinsight, Capture One and Topaz Denoise AI.
Cheers,
Scott

Super cool shot.  Yes, speed is everything for astro especially if the lenses are designed to be sharp wide open (most older lenses aren't but newer ones tend to be pretty good and fantastic 2/3 to 1 stop down from max aperture).

Would love to see a comparison with the stars not removed.

Here's the star version. The influence of heavy nebulosity makes it tough to get good star colours.

Amazing, as always - and such a difference once the stars are removed to give a clear view of the nebula, Scott!

Fascinating, as always. I like seeing this with the stars too, to get a sense of what's really there. But the clarity of just the nebula is striking. This one looks so much like, as it is named, the interior of a human being...or perhaps an alien!

They are extraordinary images, I have not the slightest idea of the equipment needed to capture such beauty.

The version with the stars viewed large is mind boggling! Makes me want to rush out and start buying the equipment necessary for astro photography.
Great work!

A fascinating capture of this beautiful Nebula. It's amazing what you can capture if you put your mind to it.
