This is the view of the Connecticut River from the Wilder Dam overlook in Wilder VT. I've been experimenting with my iphone while driving around as I don't usually have a better camera with me for this sort of photo. I'm curious how it comes across here-probably best clicked on,, as usual.

Well worth a click for the full view, Cindy.  I think this is a great result for a phone shot - or any shot, and the depth of detail is amazing!  Let's see some more from your travels. :)

Thanks Carol. This is about 15 minutes from where I live...not much travel time. :) It's a favorite birding spot along the river.

Phones have come a long way as long as you keep the reproduction size reasonable.. Scrolling the top part off the screen turning it into a 2x1 panorama makes it even better to my eyes :)

Thanks E.J.  I can see how that would work well too.

Really nowadays phones have amazing cameras.
Very beautiful this autumn landscape. I love how the interesting sky is reflected on the surface of the water.

It's really amazing how phones take such great shots in a photographer's hands. I'm one of the few who only owns a flip phone so my camera is with me more often than may be necessary. As much as I like the clouds in this image I somewhat agree with EJ that a bit off the top makes it more effective to my eye as well. I'm not sure I'd go as far as to 2x1 but in that range.

It's wonderful to have such a view on your door step, Cynthia. Nice work with the iPhone!
