Main stars are Achird and Sheder.
Guitar string and duct tape create the Star crosses.

Thanks David and Cindy..
Cindy, I use guitar string in each direction and duct tape it to the lens hood  (makes a cross) and when you shoot the stars become "star crossed"
in the 4 directions. A very simple non tech way to do this. You can also do it with some software packages  in post processing but this worked very well, first time I have tried it.
This Nebula subject needed darker skies and more image time to be honest, but I liked the way the stars turned out.

Once clicked on, this is another image that makes me say....how did he do that ? The duct tape and guitar string only adds to my thought. In any event, just an awesome image in your series of astro images.

I haven't noticed star crosses in your previous images, Dan - but it does add a magical effect to an already stunning capture. Amazing once again!

Thanks for the explanation,Dan! Very effective-who would have thought?  I'd feel lucky if I got one star in focus!
