A fiery sunstar illuminates the mesmerizing textures of the badlands in Dinosaur Provincial Park.
Thousands of years of erosion after the last ice age exposed these fossil rich hills, exposing a window into the past.
Nikon D850, Nikkor 14-24mm @15mm, ISO31, f8, 1/3 second. Multiple focus points blended. Sunstar f16.

A striking shot- love the warm colors, the beautiful clouds and the amazing terrain. And of course, the beautiful sunburst. :)

Another amazing view from this fascinating place, Dean! Although your previous image is undoubtedly my favourite of the two, this one really alludes to the prehistoric past and the star of the show is the sunkissed terrain.

I like both of your images but my taste tends towards this image. Although I like the sunburst, I think it's more about the way the very late day sun adds to the texture of the rocks than the sunburst itself. Very nice.

Thank you for taking the time for your kind comments! I agree that low sun does incredible things with textures. Thank you!

Great light and sky and a beautiful sunburst to cap it all off.

Peaceful with a good deal of drama in the sky. A very exciting mix. Well done!
