I find these Japanese cutleaf maple trees mesmerizing to observe with their distorted, twisting trunks and branches.

For these two trees to have grown into this pretzel-like form, it definitely took two to tango!

Nikon D850, Nikkor 14-24 @18mm, ISO64, f8, 1/5 second. Polarizer. Multiple shots focus stacked.

Your empathy with the beauty of trees, and the landscapes you see, is so beautifully captured in your images, Dean. These glorious maples are a pleasure to view, as always. A must click on the image to see the full beauty!

Love the warm tones of the foliage and the strong greens give it a nice contrast.

There was a photo I once saw titled "Order From Chaos". I wish I could remember it's origins but your fine image certainly fits the same descriptive title. A really beautiful image.

Thanks very much! 'Chaos' was actually being considered for the title of this one, because it is exactly that! Haha!

Hi John, thanks very much!

I'm using the Fotodiox Wonderpana system. Build quality is good; all aluminum. I picked up the CPL and a ten-stop filter for it.

Reasonably priced too.

Love this - would also make a cool tighter shot of just the reddish tree part in the upper left.

Thanks E.J.! This was a crazy one; I actually couldn't see what I was shooting very well; this tree had a heavy canopy that touched the ground all around it, and I had to get down on my knees and lift the branches to set up my camera underneath of the tree.

Definitely a spray n' pray of multiple focus points on this one, and a bear to put together, haha!
