After 10 or 12 years, I made the trip back to a part of Ireland called The Burren in County Clare Ireland. A limestone landscape, it is a photographers playground, and I can tell you now it won't be 10 years before I return.

As is normal in this part of the world the weather is changeable, and on this particular day I got soaked waiting out a passing shower, in the hope that some light would pop through.

You can get a feel for this area on the video I made on my youtube channel, https://youtu.be/UpL2Gv5Oe0w

If you are ever over this way, be sure to check it out.

great use of lines here, nice double bow and great light...obviously worth the wait and soaking.

Amazing light and rainbow. Looks like pretty rough country. Reminds me that I seem to recall an Irish tune called "On the Burren".

There is a similar limestone landscape in Yorkshire, which I should get to. This might just give me the nudge I need to get out there. A beautiful image with some great light and mood and of course the rainbow.

I think it's about 14 years since I was there - wow! Love the rainbow.
