On my last day I drove to a local beach for what was an unremarkable morning but still beautiful. There were always clouds in the mountains but when the sun rose up over Mount Haleakala, which was behind me, the clouds seemed to be doing a reenactment of the time when the island was created. I was grateful to have been there to see it.

Wow Scott!
You are very lucky to live in such a beautiful place.
You have captured all the magnificence of creation in this wonderful shot
for composition, color and dynamism. The sky is really the master.

Thank you for your comments and for looking so closely! I should clarify...a waterfall would have been nice, but that is actually a row of wind turbines coming down the mountain. Electricity is quite expensive but I'm still surprised that the locals tolerated them.

Oh, I see now. An odd place for those things. A beautiful image regardless.

Just majestic- stunning colors in the clouds-must have been breath-taking to have been there.
