One if the closest star forming regions to our solar system, part of the Scorpius constellation.
Antares is the major yellow star, with M4 star cluster to the right.
Taken May 15 at Prineville reservoir state park Oregon, a new designated national Dark sky location, Bortle 1/2.
Nion D610 modified
300 mm f2.8 lens.

Thanks for the Editor pick, I really appreciate it. Astro is a crazy
hobby, you stay up all night, image 1 or maybe 2 things for 2 hours each..
Process for hours after and if you screw up alignment or focus the whole night is lost.... But fun stuff, so much photography is
Iphones and instagram these days, this is one aspect that is still available for photographers that phone technology wont catch up to anytime soon.
