One if the closest star forming regions to our solar system, part of the Scorpius constellation.
Antares is the major yellow star, with M4 star cluster to the right. Taken May 15 at Prineville reservoir state park Oregon, a new designated national Dark sky location, Bortle 1/2. Nion D610 modified 300 mm f2.8 lens. Click on image for better larger view. |
