The majestic Bearhat Mountain and Hidden Lake are kissed by the setting sun in Glacier National Park.
The ethereal 'halo' in the sky was caused by sunlight refracting through high clouds and smoke from the distant How Ridge Fire of 2018. In a strange way, the scene demonstrates the remarkable beauty and sheer devastation that can occur simultaneously in nature. Nikon D850, Nikkor 24-70 f2.8 @35mm, f11, ISO 64, 1/8 second. RRS and Novoflex multi-row panorama rig. Four vertical images stitched. |
