M42, great Orion Nebula, the easiest deep sky object to image.
It is a gas cloud 14 light years across or beyond comprehension.

Don't confuse these with the work of Scott Fairbairn, he is doing real Astro work, I am using my bird set up...
Taken last night between 9 and 10:30 pm in Portland, Oregon on the sidewalk in front of my house.
Astro is a fun learning curve, with a $400 tracker you can use DSLR stuff and have fun.
D500, 420mm (300 f2.8 w 1.4 tc)
10 frames at 60 sec.
20 frames at 90 sec.
5 dark, 10 bias and 10 flat.
PP in PixelAstroProcess, Affinity photo and Capture one.

Clicking on image is a must for a good view!

Really an incredible image, beyond human understanding in terms of beauty, shades and colors.

It might be only with your bird set up, Dan - but the end result is amazingly beautiful! A click results in a magical view, one I could look at for a long time - I'm sure a print of this would grace any wall! Love it!

I hope your statement isn't an apology! This is gorgeous! The end result is what counts, and I can't imagine even getting this far with such visions. Some bird!! ;)
