Grand Canyon National Park - Arizona

Yesterday morning at GCNP - a bit treacherous driving up there between 1:00AM and 5:45AM in a snowstorm and very icy roads for about 30 miles.

A gorgeous landscape image, EJ, and definitely worth the effort you put into it.

Stunning layers, depth and detail in this amazing landscape.  Wonderful moody scene and the snow ices it!  I think snuggled up in a warm cosy bed would be a better option........but we know you better than that by now.

Awesome layers and color. Glad you made it safely. I am surprised they didn’t shut down due to storm. Probably one of the best times to visit.

The roads had thawed and cleared by 11:00AM.  The place was absolutely jam packed, the most people I have ever seen there, probably because all other attractions in the area are on tribal land and those are all shut-down due to the massive COVID problem on the Navajo Nation.  When I left the park around 11:30AM, the line to get in was 4.5 miles long.  Of course me getting to the entrance around 5:30 was a straight drive through with no line whatsoever.

I am noticing the amount of people too. Want to get to Lee’s Ferry but with people making up for lost time after they reopen...not sure. We never stay in the hotels but camp along the River. Not sure now...

Glad to see you back on the road...however treacherous. I suspect there will be crowds everywhere with the arrival of spring-I hope it doesn't start up a new round of Covid...

That said, this is a stunning shot! I love the depth and variety of colors, and the overall mood. Glad you made it safely home!

Well worth the trip!
The snow and the sky blues give it a very chilly mood.
