It is hard to deny the beauty and power of Canada's second largest waterfall, Takakkaw Falls with a main drop of 833 feet and a total of 1,224 feet from the Daly Glacier above.

The name translates to 'wonderful' in the Indigenous Cree Language.

Gorgeous image, Dean. impeccable detail in the rock face and foreground trees. I'll bet it looks even better printed large!

Thank you kindly Ron! The f5.6 is a pretty sharp aperture on that lens so I focus stacked this one with a few frames.

Takakkaw is one amazing place! I'm looking forward to getting back and experimenting with some different compositions from much further away with a telephoto that incorporates the entire valley.

Impressive detail and light. It appears there were clouds and sun and you waited for this nice opportunity of the sun falling on the waterfall to present itself. That, in combination with your stacking technique, made the final version really sing. Terrific.

I love the lush , rushing feel of the falls contrasted with the solid rock and a few trees for perspective- a lovely feel to this-must be spectacular to see. Wish I could hear it. :).

It almost looks like a still from a video - so amazing. I can hear that roar. Spectacular to stare at.

Been there many times, did not realize it is the second tallest. Very nice shot. This is one of those rare times where dappled light enhances a waterfall shot.
