I always love these odd looking mountains in Hokkaido.

Interesting to see the goose in the picture- gives a surprise element and perspective. Wonderful shapes in the mountains. I could see this also as a pano of the mountains without the goose, starting right at the treeline. .

Like the other folks have commented, this is several very nice shots in one. I like it as is because it shows the goose living off of what it can find for food in a tough, but beautiful environment.

Very neat bird/landscape.
I agree that the bird makes the image
Very minor technical nit...would love to see just a touch of color separation between the top of the bird and the snowy landscape...as is, it seems to blend into the background.
