I posted a similar image from this shoot on either Naturescapes or Naturephotographers.net many years ago. E.J. jumped in with some helpful criticism saying that he did not like the truncated trees. I learned something then from him for which I'm grateful.

This image does have some truncated trees but I've decided to post it anyway since I think it's one of my better Yosemite images even if the branches top right and truncated trees are not to everyone's taste. If I live long enough to go back to that park in early spring and am presented a similar view, I'll know better how to compose my image thanks in large part to Mr. Peiker.

Here's the larger image:

VERY nice. I like the sky and the light. I like the framing from above by the tree branch but would prefer if it had some space between the branch and the rock formation. I might have consider a bit of a crop on the left side to remove that partial tree. Very nice

Perhaps a somewhat difficult composition due to the many elements contained.
I like the idea of the foreground frame with branches and trees,
maybe I would have left only one whole tree on the left. But it's just my personal taste,
it's a beautiful image of a truly enchanting place.

A majestic scene- I'm not bothered by the truncated trees. I do think that this might also make a nice pano without the branches in the top right. EJ is the best, isn't he? Always thoughtful and willing to help.
