I thought long about posting new or recycling an old image. I decided to start with recycling since the group is smaller and more intimate and I would possibly get better feedback.

Anyway, I think most will remember this image.
Image
'Another Time' - El Capitan, Yosemite National Park, Ca

Nikon F4s, Nikon 24mm f/2 at f11 1/8 sec 2 stop Soft NDG, Fuji ProviaF 100, Nikon LS4000 scan, PS6

Color is as it is on the slide. It was very blue light in the valley that morning. The night before it snowed and the storm had just cleared a few hours before sunrise. This image was photographed about 10 minutes after the sun came over the valley walls. I was still in deep shadow under clear skys.

Wow! I never get tired of seeing the captain...he's one of my favorite subjects, and you've captured him beautifully! The blue glow to the image along with the misty atmosphere really contribute to the scene's majesty.
Shoot in RAW because memory is cheap, but memories are priceless.

Amazing scene and light. I think your composition works very well.

I love it with the blue cast. Beautiful image. Yosemite is amazing. I must have seen at least 10 great photos taken from the same location but each of them are unique and I don't tire of them.

I love this spot and as Dan noted, every image is slightly different. The colors are fine though I think it'd be cool to experiment with changing them around a bit to closer to what what the mind's eye was seeing.

Youssef,

Very sweet! Almost a magical touch here!!
I'm fortunate to have seen the full-sized print.

I remember seeing this one last year, Youssef. It's as phenomenal now as it was then.
