I've done the 7.2 mile "Trail of Ten Falls" loop many times. It's always a delightful, easy hike. In the spring, when the water flow is usually at its greatest, I enjoy the falls even more.

Here's one from May 27th instant. And here's the larger image:

The framing of the falls with the vegetation makes it, Mike. Well done!

Very nice foreground and a great shutter seed for the falling water. My only wish was for the strong highlights above the falls due to the sun to be more controlled.

E.J.,

I couldn't agree more!

I just couldn't get the highlights down enough in post for my satisfaction. I considered much more heavy-handed vertical crop, I tried using the magic wand tool in PS to more accurately target the highlights, etc. Nothing I tried worked. I simply should have composed a few different variations from the start to have given me more options with which to work. I also should have tried a few frames with slightly less strong digital ND filter and slightly faster shutter speed to see if the water effects were still there. C'est la vie. Live and learn.

Nicely done, I really like the sharpness throughout the image and the soft water in the falls.
